The main objective of UDD is to assist missing persons and their families, through a system of collection and dissemination of information that can contribute to their location, in the shortest possible time.

It is also responsible for keeping all operational with updated information.

Its main functions are:

• Gathering information on the missing person
• Disclosure of the disappearance
• Provision of updated information
